Two famous Youtubers have hit amazing milestones.
British beauty guru Zoella hit 1 million subscribers on her second channel morezoella. She has passed 2 million on her main channel.
Zoe’s brother, Joe aka ThatcherJoe, also hit 1 million the other night. A lot of the famous British Youtubers are over a million by now.
Shane Dawson hit 3 million subscribers on his iPhone channel where he puts up videos everyday except Saturday. The dedicated Youtuber who recently sold his TV series to NBC has over 11 million Youtube subscribers over three channels.
Anthony & Kalel’s channel WatchUsLiveandStuff can also join the million club. They just released their one milllionth video where they showed failed vlogging attempts and did a lengthy Q&A.
It happened. It came it went but it made everyone involved in the Youtube community question going outside the other night when Youtube died. Yes the biggest video online platform died.
DougA started a hashtag #TheGreatYoutubeBlackoutof2013, which is genius. We replied with a tweet saying ‘pray for us’ and as of this morning we got 47 retweets and 33 favourites. I’ve never been twitter popular so I enjoyed my twenty minutes of fame.
Check out all the tweets on the tragic event.

NBC has put in development Losin’ It, a single-camera comedy from popular YouTube personality Shane Dawson, The Big C creator Darlene Hunt and producer Will Gluck. The workplace comedy, based on Dawson’s real life experiences, is set at a suburban Weight Loss Center franchise that gets thrown into upheaval when its most successful client decides to share his inspiration by becoming a consultant there, only to then find himself promoted to manager by the end of his first day. Hunt will write from a story she co-penned with Dawson and his producing partner Lauren Schnipper. Hunt, Dawson, Gluck and Richie Schwartz executive produce, with Schnipper producing. The project hails from Sony TV, where Gluck’s Olive Bridge and Hunt are under deals. Dawson, one of the most popular YouTube stars, with over 9 million subscribers across 3 YouTube channels, worked at weight-loss company Jenny Craig, along with his mother and brother, when he launched his first YouTube channel in 2008. However, he soon thereafter uploaded a pole dancing video shot in the office. He was immediately fired, along with his mother, brother and several other coworkers who appeared in the video. (Watch Dawson’s latest music parody below) This marks Olive Bridge’s eighth broadcast comedy pitch sale this season. Hunt is repped by UTA and McKuin Frankel; Dawson is with UTA and Matt Saver; Gluck with UTA and Sloane Offer.
