Vid Con 2015: Troye Sivan Announces Album ‘Wild’

After months of waiting, fans of Troye Sivan were finally happy when the Australian announced his debut album ‘Wild’.

“WILD” is an opening instalment, a 6 song keyhole to introduce you guys to all of the music i’ve got coming in 2015. I couldn’t be prouder, and can’t wait for you guys to hear this. thank you from the bottom of my heart, endlessly.

If you go to TROYESIVAN.COM you will be directed to Troye’s Tumblr page. On there will be an opportunity to download ‘Wild’ images. They are all Photoshop-able and fans have been making new Twitter icons using the package. The password to unlock it is “blueneighbourhood”.

Vid Con 2015: Power of Words Panel

The Power of Words panel (24th of July), on the Kia Main-stage, dealt with many topical issues including, but not limited to, harassment, shaming, call-outs, privilege, being a good ally, and tone-policing.

Many of these issues can be connected to huge occurences in pop culture that have offended many people, thus proving the effects that misspeaking can have.

Vid Con 2015: Sexual Orientation on YouTube Panel

The “Sexual Orientation on YouTube” panel took place on the 24th of July during Vid Con 2015 @ the Kia Main-stage. It was moderated by Michael Buckley.

The panelists and members of the LGBT+ community answered questions regarding coming out, how their sexuality influences their work, and some of the struggles they’ve had to face.

Vid Con 2015: An Intimate Gossip Session with YouTube’s Biggest Flop Tyler Oakley

After premiering his book trailer on Friday, Tyler Oakley had another event to attend. Korey Kuhl moderated “An Intimate Gossip Session with YouTube’s Biggest Flop: Tyler Oakley” on Saturday morning.

Fans had been waiting since 7:30 a.m. @ the Kia Main-stage, 2 hours before the highly-anticipated event. Tyler gave the inside scoop on his book Binge, his award-winning podcast Psychobabble (co-hosted by Kuhl), his Slumber Party Tour and what’s to come for the rest of 2015.

Vid Con 2015: Glitter Time

Louise Pentland, or Sprinkleofglitter, left audiences in hysterics after her hilarious Glitter Time event @ the YouNow Community stage during Vid Con 2015.

After touring the U.K. with a bestselling book and Glitter Time tour, Louise once again returned to Vid Con with her hit one-woman-show. She delighted audiences with quippy remarks, honest discussions and Q&A’s.

Vid Con 2015: Women on Youtube Panel

The “Women on YouTube” panel was as inspiring as it was empowering. It featured many panellists (as listed below) who spoke about what it can be like to work hard on YouTube work when you are a woman.

The panell left many audience member’s feeling optimistic about a time when both genders will be truly equal in the workplace and many women tweeted about how they felt empowered. The Women who composed the panel answered many questions about struggles that way may faced.
